Job Description
As our Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions, you will work to support Realogy Franchise Group’s incredible franchisee population as they seek to acquire other competitive brokerage firms!
The successful candidate will collaborate with Franchise owners and Brand Leaders to identify, engage, and deliver to deliver M&A success across our brands. This individual will support the efforts of our strong franchise sales team as they navigate discussions with Franchise owners, communicating advantages and pitfalls of completing individual M&A transactions.
The incoming candidate will adopt the approach of the Realogy Franchise Group business, goals and objectives. The person in this position will need to have the ability to prioritize across and within initiatives, collaborate heavily with Brand and functional partners, and lead successful execution of the initiatives into the group’s Sales Enablement team.
Responsibilities include:
Work to identify and prioritize M&A initiatives that drive the greatest impact to our affiliates
Mentor franchisees through M&A process
Prepare valuation analyses of real estate brokerages
Partner with sales team in their efforts to facilitate M&A transactions
Lead training on M&A and valuations for franchisees and Sales Teams alike
Lead training of “M&A Bootcamp”, a comprehensive M&A training platform
Utilize database of companies potentially for sale in company CRM platform
Serve as subject matter authority on M&A
Attend brand and industry events as necessary to promote RFG ability to aid franchisees with M&A opportunities
Qualifications include:
Bachelors degree/MBA or validated experience
7-10 years M&A experience preferred
Minimum 3 years’ experience leading direct or indirect teams preferred
Strong financial competence, demonstrated thorough understanding of financial statements
Shown understanding of M&A principals
Demonstrated knowledge of real estate brokerage business and familiarity with typical primary services such as title insurance businesses, mortgage, property management and insurance businesses
Ability to stay focused in a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, time-sensitive, and collaborative environment
Experience developing budget and managing to budget required
Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Effective project management skills and outstanding drive for results
Proven track record of executive presence to engage with and drive accountability across multi-brand leadership teams
Outstanding organizational awareness with a keen focus on execution
Maintain effective working relationships with other employees and business relations with a spirit of flexibility, influencing and collaboration
Strong critical thinking and thought leadership
Remote role, with ability to travel 15% of time, typically to relevant events and conferences
