Senior Power BI Solutions Architect - Remote

Experience Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack or Cognos Analytics

  • 3+ years with Power BI cloud environment solution experiences, i.e. AWS and Snowflake

Education/Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Job Summary:

The Senior Power BI Solutions Architect is responsible for the assessment of business requirements, collection and identification of technical specifications, and develop viable technology solutions best align with Realogy business application platforms, workflow systems, and application integration.

  • Apply architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability

  • Act as a key interface to our internal customers, and work closely with the delivery team to help deliver successful solution insights to our internal business leaders.

  • Develop technology specifications and ensure that technology solutions are designed for optimal access and value, to ensure reporting and analytics solutions deliver information efficiently, with the end goal to solve business challenges and achieve business objectives

  • Support business development initiatives with solution proposals and presentations.

  • Identify value-add opportunities to business stakeholders by leveraging information management systems effectively and lead information system improvement and optimization

  • Architect and develop reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices to the development lifecycle

  • Documentation of source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and database design

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders responsible for information and performance management

Power BI:

  • Strong Power BI enterprise solution experience, including enterprise gateway, security, application integration and deployment

  • Hands-on solution experience of Cognos and SSRS reports conversion to Power BI

  • Tenant administration & Power BI Premium Capacity management experience

  • Power BI Report and Dashboard development

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Power BI Reports and sites

  • Content migration and SDLC in a multi-environment Power BI deployment

  • Power Query (M), Dataflows and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)

  • Implementing and testing row-level security

  • Experience working with very large reporting data volumes and live data connections

  • End-to-end Power BI best practices and processes

Data:

  • Strong SQL skills

  • Data architecture and ETL design, development, and performance tuning

  • Comfortable testing assumptions and profiling data

  • SSAS / SSIS / SSRS

Other Skills:

  • Able to refine ambiguous business or technical problems, elicit goals and constraints, generate creative solution options, select and justify best-fit solution, plan work and foresee risks, and deliver a quality of work product that will outlast your time on the project

  • Strong visual design and high usability of solutions based on empathizing with users

  • Able to adapt and thrive in dynamic and highly visible roles

  • Strong planning and prioritization skills, managing to and communicating about deadlines

  • Clear, goal-oriented communication and presentation skills to all business and technical audiences

  • Conversant in Agile development methodology
