Job Description

Realogy Brokerage Group, a division of Realogy Holdings Corporation, is seeking a skilled Power BI and Cognos developer / business analyst to join our growing BI Reporting & Analytics team; the team is highly collaborative and is responsible for driving insights from data and communicating ideas effectively. Reporting to the BI Director, this role is tasked with building, enhancing, and supporting Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets in addition to Excel based reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engaged in all phases of our Agile BI development lifecycle: requirement analysis, prototyping, designing, developing, publishing, and scheduling Power BI reports

  • Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop, Cognos Analytics with modern UI/UX practices

  • Understand business requirements and develop data models accordingly by connecting to a variety of data sources; build tabular and multidimensional models compatible with standards

  • Implement row level security on data and manage application security layer models

  • Integrate Dashboards into other applications using embedded analytics (SaaS / API Automation)

Required Skills:

  • Five (5) years of hands-on development with Power BI / Cognos (advance mapping skills are a plus)

  • Five (5) years of hands-on experience with BI analytics, data preparation and business analysis

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, analytics, business, or equivalent work experience

  • Strong understanding of existing dataflows and implement new as per requirements

  • Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set using DAX

  • Experience working with multiple data sources - flat files, on premise, and cloud

  • Ability to comprehend existing reports/dashboards quickly and create new ones as per the need – Building in data quality validations

  • Accuracy in estimating timelines and delivery of work – ability to call out dependencies, risks, and assumptions as per the asks/possible solutions

  • Strong SQL query skills using SQL Server Management Studio

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment

  • Ability to change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, ability to talk in business language

  • Proven ability to thrive in a team-based environment

  • Report building skills using Excel including advanced functions, charting, filtering, macros, and linking to external data sources; VBA experience is a plus.

This position can be performed anywhere except Colorado.
