Job Description
The VP, Franchise Performance reports to the National Vice President for ERA Real Estate. The VP, Franchise Performance is responsible for the growth and retention of existing franchisees nationwide. The VP, Franchise Performance manages a team of field-based staff (Franchise Performance Consultants - FPC) who serve as business coaches for real estate brokerage owners. The VP, Franchise Performance assists the sales team with the communication of the brand value proposition to franchise candidates and coaches the existing FPC team, so they can help franchisees better articulating their value proposition. The VP, Franchise Performance is responsible for mentoring the FPC team, so they can solve complex franchisee issues and coordinates the efforts of other internal groups (franchise sales, audit, collections, compliance, etc.) when additional support is required by FPC team. The VP, Franchise Performance understands the real estate industry, the real estate brokerage business, and can influence franchisees to make smart decisions regarding the growth of their operation.
This position is 100% remote, however, the ideal candidate will be located in the Eastern Time Zone. As we come out of the pandemic and are sure that it’s safe to resume operations, this role will be required to travel.
Direct management of field-based Franchise Performance team
Management of franchise renewal process
Establish criteria, reports and process to conduct internal monthly review of book of business for each team member
Provide guidance and support to clearly define key areas to assist broker growth based on data provided by Realogy systems and tools
Knowledge of real estate industry trends; trains team on trends that may affect franchisees
Establish/maintain brand rankings criteria to prioritize brokerage support and guidance needed
Establish/maintain next steps and brokerage goals as KPIs for the Franchise Performance team to report back to regularly and summarize in review sessions
Ensure field-based Franchise Performance team is conducting regular proactive outreach sessions both in person and via WebEx to review key areas of support as needed.
Presents brand value proposition and serves as corporate representative at new franchise openings
Coordinates with Learning team to run regional event strategy, creates content and facilitates broker masterminds at regional events
Creates content, presents, and facilitates sessions as needed at annual brand conference and owners’ events
Manage escalation requests and direct as needed to appropriate party
Solve franchisee issues, serving as liaison to internal departments as needed (franchise sales, audit, collections, finance, contract admin, legal, etc.)
Attend, support and represent brand at transitions, Value Propositions Meetings and industry events as required
Establish Yearly Benchmarks / Goals and work with staff to ensure franchisees are exceeding those goals.
Assist franchise sales to grow national brand franchise footprint, assist franchisee recruiting efforts to grow local market share, and assist learning team to better aid in per agent productivity growth to boost profitability and market share
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, MBA preferred
10+ years’ experience in Real Estate/Franchising industry
5+ years’ experience managing a field-based, working in a consulting role or a combination of the two.
In depth knowledge of the Real Estate Brokerage business
In depth knowledge of Real Estate Industry
General understanding of franchise industry and regulations
Self-starter, complex problem-solving skills
Ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders
Strong public speaking/presentation skills
Ability to travel, occasionally on weekends (up to 75%) once it is safe to travel again
